PLATFORM
THE PROCESS OF TRANSFORMATION
As your candidate for Mayor of Wyandotte County, I am committed to creating a future that works for every resident, business, and family. My platform, People > Process > Policy, focuses on four core areas that will lay the foundation for long-term prosperity: community, housing, workforce, and infrastructure.
COMMUNITY
Our community thrives and becomes more resilient when we work together. As CEO/Mayor, I will do my best to cultivate a sense of connectedness and harmony, championing the goals of each of our districts and the processes that assist with establishing a nurturing and inclusive environment. An environment where people feel appreciated and trust is renewed to accomplish collective objectives concerning neighborhoods, education, and healthcare.
HOUSING
Housing attracts new businesses and encourages innovative opportunities for people to prosper. As CEO/Mayor, I will consult with key stakeholders and seek resources to provide Wyandotte County/KCK residents with more quality housing options. Housing is so important to our community, as are the policies that impact the county and city master plans that have yet to meet their potential or completion. I want to help implement those plans and work with city officials to ensure our policies provide a pathway to revitalize our economy and improve our infrastructure for equitable housing.
WORKFORCE
A vibrant workforce is vital for the economic health of Wyandotte County/KCK. To address future challenges, it is important to equip residents with the necessary skills to compete in a rapidly changing economy. Our community is full of resilient, talented, hard-working people who require more training to reach the next level of earnings to support their families. By evaluating and adopting a combination of strategic policies, we can create an environment conducive to economic growth, improve workforce skills, and ultimately help community members obtain higher-paying jobs.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Our city and county’s infrastructure is the backbone of our economy and quality of life. As CEO/Mayor, I will collaborate closely with local and state government and key stakeholders to ensure our infrastructure adapts to the community's current and future requirements. Strengthening these partnerships is important for effectively addressing infrastructure issues, enhancing public engagement, and promoting sustainable development that benefits the people, process, and policy of our great community.
